I am a professional artist with 30 years of experience in graphic design, illustration, and marketing. Painting HORSE and HOUND portraits are among my specialties. I have a studio in Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment in Huntsville, Alabama, where I paint, design and meet clients.

When I am commissioned to paint someone's horse or hound, I always ask about the personality and love it when people will spend the next 20-30 minutes telling me stories of their beloved four-legged friend. Those are the details that help me capture not just the physical likeness, but their personality.

I started riding at six years old and grew up watching my mother turn problem horses into pleasant riding companions. I rode hunter jumpers in Tucson, AZ, then took a long (unwanted) break from the horse world until my daughter, Erin, started riding. I now share a horse with my daughter, and we adore our  mare, Thea. She's half mustang, half quarter horse and was very green when we got her. Over the last four years, we have been training her in dressage with some jumping and just a taste of cross country. She has come such a long way! We board at a Flint Ridge Farm, just a few minutes from our house.
